About Girl Power Elite

Our mission is to empower young girls who are struggling with low self-esteem, family problems, drug and/or alcohol addictions, sexual abuse, sex trafficking and verbal/physical abuse which can be attributed to their low self-esteem. Our mission will be accomplished through re-educating these young women (teens) by way of various workshops and speaking engagements with women who have lived these experiences and came out on top. Our hope is they will see they’re not alone in their struggle, realize their self worth and unleash their God-given girl powers.

Check us out in action! Girl Power Elite Executive Director Sondra Stevens is busy packing back-to-school backpacks for kids in need in this Action video.

Sondra Stevens is the Founder and Executive Director of Girl Power Elite. She finds nothing more exciting than unleashing girls and young women’s hidden powers. A faith-driven leader, Sondra has been working in the legal and litigation industry for over 30 years professionally. After majoring in Political Science at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY, Sondra completed Advanced classes in leadership and sign language at Ray of Hope Christian Church.

Many of Sondra’s core passions outside of work rest in the creative field. From studying Modern Dance at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Fashion Buying and Merchandising at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, to being a former Miss Black Teenage Beauty Pageant Runner-up, Sondra’s diverse life experiences are a wealth of knowledge for the young minds enrolled in our program.
